The More I Stare Album Art

This was my second album art project working with PEI-based folk/pop artist Noah Malcolm. For this single, The More I Stare, Noah wanted the visuals to be reflective and unsettling to match the personal themes explored in his lyrics. He also wanted to incorporate some x-rays of his teeth.
Using a catalogue of all his previous promotional material, I studied and selected specific photos in order to build an uncanny collage of his face. He loved this creepy-looking asset, and we played around with some possible typography options (seen below). These mock-ups used the same font as his previous single Feel The Same in order to draw some visual recognition between the two songs, which Noah plans to release together on one album in the future.
Noah decided he preferred if image spoke for itself, and we used the minimalist framing of the asset as the final single album art.
